Intellivo’s existing infrastructure struggled to keep pace with modern healthcare analytics demands. Legacy data systems were incapable of handling the scale of data required for real-time insights. Their SQL-based warehouse and traditional reporting engine caused delays in report generation, impacting both internal operations and customer deliverables.

Additionally, the absence of a formal data governance strategy increased compliance risks in a highly regulated industry. Sensitive patient and operational data lacked proper controls, and user roles were not clearly defined across their analytics environment. As a result, both security and customer trust were at stake.

The challenge was not only technical—it was strategic. Intellivo needed to modernize its architecture while introducing a customer-facing analytics portal to stay competitive and deliver meaningful insights.

Approach & Solution

GOBI Technologies designed and executed a comprehensive modernization plan focused on performance, governance, and self-service analytics:

• Azure Synapse & Azure SQL Modernization: We transitioned Intellivo’s warehouse to Azure SQL, enabling high-performance analytics and scalable storage. Azure Synapse was introduced to enhance data processing across large volumes, delivering faster insights with lower latency.
• Data Governance & Security Framework: GOBI implemented Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Row-Level Security (RLS) across the environment, ensuring sensitive data remained protected and compliant with HIPAA and industry standards. This initiative also aligned with GOBI’s Azure Governance framework.
• Customer-Facing Analytics with Power Pages: Using Microsoft Power Pages, we built an intuitive, self-service analytics portal that allowed customers to run custom queries and generate reports securely. The portal was integrated with the data warehouse and tailored for healthcare decision-makers.
• Streamlined Reporting Engine: The reporting engine was redesigned with automated data pipelines via Azure Data Factory, enabling scheduled and on-demand report generation. This dramatically reduced turnaround times.
